Traffic Signal Design
As professionally registered engineers, we have the expertise in preparing traffic signal plans. We have undertaken the preparation of a number of Traffic Signal Plans using Sidra Networks and we are able to present the plans in alignment with the local authority’s requirements. In addition, we have undertaken a number of Traffic Signal Warrant assessments.
Traffic Management Plans:
Fulcrum Development Consultants has been involved in the development of a number of traffic management plans. Our team members have prepared TMP for large scale events such as 2010 FIFA World Cup, Top Gear and COP17; for road closures of key routes such as the M4 in Durban, Mahatma Ghandi Street in Point area and for various construction projects across the country. We have excellent understanding of the Southern Africa Road Traffic Signs Manual (SARTSM) and its implementation in relation to temporary traffic measures.
Site Rationalisation – Parking & Loading Bays:
One of our unique strengths is the in-depth advice we provide to our clients regarding on- site traffic reticulation. We collaborate very closely with the design team to optimise the Gross Floor Area for a site whilst at the same time ensuring an efficient flow of vehicles and pedestrians. This is done through the rational design of access control points, vehicle ramps, driveways and parking areas and loading area.
Road Geometric Design
We provide in-house services for the design of road design. Our services include pavement design, geometric design, stormwater design and wayleave clearances.
